As a leading company in the salty snacks market, we are committed to making an impact on the positive development of our society and the regions from which we source our natural raw materials. Through our high level of product safety, quality and responsibility along the value chain, we constantly set benchmarks and ensure continuous improvement. It is important to us that the regions of origin of our raw materials also benefit from the success of our products.

With the Kelly's and Soletti brands, Kelly Snacks is not only one of the largest industrial buyers of Austrian flour from Pregarten near Linz, Schwechat and Klagenfurt with 12,000 tons per year, but also one of the largest domestic potato processors with around 27,000 tons per year. Every year, 93 farms supply the best potatoes from the regions of Absdorf, Hollabrunn, Tullnerfeld, Korneuburg, Mistelbach, Marchfeld and Seewinkel to the plant in the neighboring 22nd district of Vienna. Kelly's chips, made in Austria, are perfectly rounded off in terms of taste - thanks to salt from the salt works in Ebensee and paprika spice from the Austrian spice specialist Kotányi. The corn semolina also comes from Guntramsdorf in Lower Austria.

For products and raw materials that we cannot source regionally but come to us via a diverse system of supply chains, we pay attention to a sustainable procurement strategy under the “Buying into the Future” compass.

We are guided by our principles of building capacity in the regions of origin, improving quality of life and protecting the environment and communities, and our strategy requires our suppliers to comply with all applicable international requirements and guarantee fair working conditions in their supply chains.

Our suppliers must confirm compliance with these criteria by signing our Responsible Sourcing Policy. To further ensure this, we work together with the internationally recognized Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) initiative. Suppliers are thus subjected to an independent audit.

Our commitment to the best potatoes

12,000 With around 27,000 tons per year, Kelly is one of the largest domestic potato processors. Every year, around 90 farms supply the best potatoes from the regions of Absdorf, Hollabrunn, Tullnerfeld, Korneuburg, Mistelbach, Marchfeld and Seewinkel to the plant in the neighboring 22nd district of Vienna. The fact that some potato fields are only about 6 km away from the Kelly plant underlines the sizzling regionality and guarantees the lowest possible CO2 emissions. We have been supporting and advising the farms, often for decades, on the selection of varieties, cultivation and storage.
